• Micrografting Technique: The procedure involves extracting grafts, typically from the back of the head, which consist of one to four hair follicles. These grafts are resilient and do not fall out even after being transplanted.

Grafting Techniques

1. FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant):
   • This method, also referred to as the strip technique, involves removing a strip of skin from the back of the neck.
   • The strip is then divided into smaller grafts containing one to four hairs each.
   • This technique is suitable for larger grafts and is particularly effective for individuals with curly or frizzy hair.
2. FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction):
   • Unlike FUT, FUE does not involve removing a strip of skin. Instead, grafts are extracted directly from a previously shaved area of the scalp using a hollow micro-wick tool known as a punch.
   • This method is known for being nearly scarless and offers a less invasive alternative to FUT.

Other Types of Transplants

• Beard Transplant: Similar to scalp hair transplantation, beard transplantation uses grafts to fill in thinning areas of the beard rather than the scalp.
