The choice between the FUE and FUT techniques will be determined during your consultation.

• FUE: This method involves partial shaving of the donor area and utilizes either manual or motorized punches to extract individual hair follicles.
• FUT (STRIP): A narrow strip of scalp is removed, which is then divided into tiny groups of hair roots known as follicular units (grafts or FUs). The resulting fine linear scar at the back of the head can be easily concealed by surrounding hair.

Graft Implantation: Before transplantation, all extracted follicles are thoroughly examined in our clinic to ensure their quality.

• Incisions: We create lateral slits or holes in the recipient area for graft placement.
• Reinsertion: The follicles are carefully placed into the scalp using specialized micro-forceps.

Post-Transplant Care: Following the procedure, small crusts will form around the grafts, which typically resolve within 10 to 14 days. New hair growth generally begins around 12 to 14 weeks after the transplant.

Medical Treatments for Hair Loss

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): This treatment involves applying platelet-rich plasma to the affected areas to help reduce hair loss and promote hair growth. PRP can be used on its own or in conjunction with a hair transplant. Depending on individual response, multiple sessions may be required for optimal results.

‍Medication:

• Minoxidil: Available as a topical solution, Minoxidil is suitable for both men and women and can be purchased at pharmacies.
• Finasteride: Sold under brand names like Propecia, Finasteride comes in tablet form and is prescribed exclusively for men in Germany.

It’s important to note that both medications must be used consistently to maintain their effectiveness. If treatment is discontinued, any newly grown hair may fall out again.
