It involves extracting healthy hair follicles from a donor site, typically located at the back of the head, and transplanting these follicles into areas of the scalp that are bald or thinning. This process enables new hair to grow in the treated regions, providing a natural and fuller appearance. During the FUE procedure, individual groups of hair follicles are carefully separated from the donor area using a specialized hollow needle, which ranges in diameter from approximately 0.65 mm to 1.0 mm. To facilitate this extraction, the donor area is shaved down to about 1 mm, ensuring optimal access to the hair roots.
